Friday Finds

I have found some great recipes this week that I am anxious to try.

Prairie Story

Some of you may know that I have been posting barbecue rubs and sauces here on this blog on Mondays the last couple of weeks.  I am always on the lookout for new recipes, and this one looks so good.  We don't drink beer so I will have to make it a point to pick some up when I go grocery shopping.

Retro Housewife Remix

I can't have too many homemade mix recipes.  She supplies several variations, but the sky is the limit as to what one could make.

Six Sisters Stuff

Of course, I would have to find a cookie recipe.  Peanut butter and chocolate.  Yum.  Yum.  Now they have oats in them, so that makes them healthy.  Right?  I actually made these yesterday.  Very, very good.  I did have to cook mine a little longer and let the pan set for about 5 minutes before I could get the peanut butter to spread without tearing the cookie mixture.  I did not measure the peanut butter I put on the top, I just spread it on until the top was covered.   I used crunchy peanut butter in the batter and creamy peanut butter on the top.

Mel's Kitchen Cafe

A couple of great ideas for 4th of July dinner.  The cake is made with canned peaches and cream cheese so could be made any time of the year.  Just add a salad to these recipes and you are set.  Mel also has a nice list of 4th of July meal ideas here .

Barbara Bakes

This looks like a fun and delicious thing to do with hot dogs.  I think that I will make these for lunch today.  I was fortunate enough to get four packages of hot dogs for .38 a package last night with a sale and two coupons.

Well, this is certainly enough to keep me busy for the next week.  I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else has found this week.
