3-Way Pizza Sauce

I call this recipe 3-Way Pizza Sauce because, depending upon the amount of time you have it can be a no-cook sauce or a cooked sauce.  The recipe uses tomato sauce and herbs most people have in their kitchen all the time.  I usually make the no-cook version, just letting the mixed sauce stand on the counter in my kitchen for the hour.  I use one recipe of the sauce per each 10x15-in. or large pizza pan of pizza dough.

3-Way Pizza Sauce
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 t. oregano, crushed between your fingers
1/2 t. marjoram, crushed between your fingers
1/2 t. basil, crushed between your fingers
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/2-1 t. sugar (depending on how sweet you like pizza sauce)

Combine ingredients in a small bowl.  Mix well and let stand for 1 hour.  If you only have 30 minutes,  place the ingredients in a microwave-safe container, cover and microwave on high for 1 minute.  Stir and let stand for 30 minutes.  If you need sauce right now, place ingredients in a small saucepan, stir bring to a simmer over medium heat.  Simmer gently 10 minutes.  Watch carefully and stir often.
