Baking for Kate

I only have a little tiny corner of the blogsphere, but I wanted to drop in and share a wonderful event that is taking place this weekend over at Carrie Robinson’s blog, Frugal Foodie Mama.  Carrie is holding a Bake Sale for her friend, Kate, who is battling cancer.  My best friend from high school is also battling cancer.  Fortunately she is doing well.

I chose to make a cash donation to the bake sale and Carrie created this wonderful Pink Cupcake Baking Package with it and some donations from other bloggers.

The bake sale is Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25.  You can go to Frugal Foodie Mama and get a preview of the great things that are available and the details of how to participate.  There are delicious goodies, great cookbooks by bloggers, and handy kitchen gear, all going to the highest bidders.

Cancer seems to touch all of us.  I actually have my own cancer story.  Fortunately, it was brief and surgery took care of it.  I know that I was blessed.  Thanks so much for reading this post.
